Little Bear Island, Lake Winnipesaukee - enchanting cottage nestled back from the boat traffic! 100' of privacy with plenty of docking, sandy bottom and stone steps to the beach! The storybook cottage was built in 1910 and was brought out to the island on a barge in 1995, where it was fit onto a full concrete foundation. The first level has a covered porch, a craft room and playroom. The second level also has a covered porch, reading nook, living area, dining area, kitchen, a full bath with antique bear claw tub and also a three-quarter bath. The living area leads you up to two bedrooms on the third level. There are many custom built-ins, and in 2020, the kitchen was upgraded with new floors, custom cabinets, stainless steel stove and dishwasher, and soap stone counter tops. The floors are Brazilian cherry and white oak. Sliders on both levels bring you out to the lower and upper covered porches. Another upgrade in 2020 is the propane stove in the dining area for cooler nights or a little ambiance. Outside you'll find a bunkhouse, garden shed and water toy storage, an outside shower, and raised beds for summer plantings. Also, enjoy the hot tub on those full moon nights!
